Alaska’s DRAG: The Musical is an instant cult classic with an original story that speaks to all generations. Entertainment Weekly calls it, “drag at its best” and BroadwayWorld raves, “They hit the ball out of the park. Rowdy fun with the glamor of a Broadway musical.”

DRAG: The Musical is playing at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Two Drag Houses, both alike in indignity, vie for supremacy in a wig-snatching, diva-licious journey of fashion, family, and forgiveness. Leave the lip syncs at the door, darling. Get ready for Drag realness: REAL singing, in a REAL theater, with REAL DRAMA. After their bitter split, fishy queen Alexis Gilmore opened her club, The Fishtank, as glamourpuss Miss Kitty established The Cathouse. Heels click and tensions rise as old wounds are opened and the two clubs fight to survive.

The cast features Alaska Thunderf*ck as Kitty Galloway (through January 11, 2025), Nick Adams as Alexis Gillmore, Joey McIntyre as Tom Hutchinson (through December 9, 2024), Eddie Korbich as Drunk Jerry, J. Elaine Marcos as Gloria Schmidt/Rita Laritz/Liberty Van Der Snatch, Jan Sport as Savannah St. James, Jujubee as The Tigress, Lagoona Bloo as Tuna Turner, Liisi LaFontaine as Dixie Coxworth, Luxx Noir London as Popcorn, Nick Laughlin as Puss Puss DuBois, with Remi Tuckman and Yair Keydar alternating in the role of ten-year-old Brendan Hutchinson.

The ensemble includes Cameron Mitchell Bell, Christine Shepard, Kodiak Thompson, Nicholas Kraft, and Teddy Wilson Jr. 

Scenic design is by Jason Sherwood, costume design by Marco Marco, lighting design by Adam Honore, sound design by Drew Levy, and projection design by Aaron Rhyne.

General Management is by KGM Theatrical. Production management is by Aurora Productions. Casting by RBT Casting, Ryan Bernard Tymensky, CSA.
